This year’s IFA was filled with the latest innovations within consumer electronics. Everything was “smart”, robots abounded and voice was the go-to interface of choice. Our overall perception was that we were seeing the evolution and refinement of existing technology. Manufacturers are building on existing products, trying to make them more relevant and “smarter”, and looking for ways to offer consumers an integrated experience that will demand their loyalty. Battles for market dominance are ongoing, and while there are clear frontrunners, many of the fields are still wide open for conquering.
