Currently we are looking for Senior Systems Analyst to join our team.

Skills:

6+ years of experience in *nix, networks and DB administration
Practical experience with virtualization and cloud computing - good knowledge of Amazon AWS and EC2 specifically
Experience with python based destribution systems
Basic Perl programming skills
Ability to work as System Analyst / Architect - analysis, brainstorming, specifications related to IT / NOC processes and deployment architectures
Experience with 24x7 IT support, SLA models and L1-L3 support processes
CI, infrastructure automation and monitoring tools
Able to create custom distribution system which will be able update production cloud infrastructure w/o downtime
Work experience with fast growing systems
Ability to review and provide improvements for server infrastructure and deployment process
Upper-intermediate level in spoken and advanced level in written English

Responsibilities:

Role assumes an involvement into project-related activities on all stages:

Pre-sales: working with Solution Architecture and Project Management teams on the technical proposals and system architectures, especially on the deployment models and SLA definitions for NOC support activities
Startup and Planning: coordinating infrastructure planning and setup tasks related to NOC, feasibility research for the integrations and deployments of new services etc.
Execution: technical mentoring of more junior NOC team members, collaboration with the engineering teams, ensuring compliance with the defined NOC SLA models in project's SoW, customer communications etc.
Deployment: execution of the planned deployment plans and architectures, ensuring safe operations etc.
Support and Maintenance: periodic backups, log analysis, patch deployments, customer request processing etc.

Educational requirements

MS/BS degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent is preferred. Credit will be given for candidates who do not have relevant degrees but can demonstrate equivalent work experience.

In the course of the fulfillment of his obligations, the Senior Systems Analyst must comply with corporate ethics and policies (e.g. accountability for all property entrusted by Cogniance).The Senior Systems Analyst shall also bear non property responsibility for his obligations to be performed in due time and quality.

In addition to the rights assigned to a person in accordance with legislation in force, the Senior Systems Analyst will have access to Cogniance confidential information according to company security policy and respective documents

Location and Communication

The position is located in Cogniance development office in Kyiv, Ukraine. Successful candidates will be engaged in core development activities closely cooperating in a team with software architects, designers and engineers. The Senior Systems Analyst will report to Engineering Manager.
