Skills

Compulsory skills:

Upper-intermediate level of English
2+ years of experience as Front-End Engineer (web, mobile, enterprise projects)
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript
Deep knowledge of various JS frameworks, libraries
Strong HTML, CSS, AJAX
Mobile experience is a plus

Desired skills:

Passion for working with Open Source technologies
HTML5 is a plus
Previous start-up experience
Keeping up with latest technologies and startup news

Personal attributes

Educational requirements

MS/BS degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent is preferred. Credit will be given for candidates who do not have relevant degrees but can demonstrate equivalent work experience.

Liabilities

In the course of the fulfillment of his obligations, the Front-End Engineer must comply with corporate ethics and policies (e.g. accountability for all property entrusted by Cogniance).The Front-End Engineer shall also bear non property responsibility for his obligations to be performed in due time and quality.

Rights

In addition to the rights assigned to a person in accordance with legislation in force, the Front-End Engineer will have access to Cogniance confidential information according to company security policy and respective documents.

Location and Communication

The position is located in Cogniance development office in Kyiv, Ukraine. Successful candidates will be engaged in core development activities closely cooperating in a team with software architects, designers and engineers. The Front-End Engineer will report to Engineering Manager.
